Presentation
Threatened with destruction in 1957, the villa was saved thanks to the international mobilization of Le Corbusier's friends and collaborators. Classified as a Historic Monument in 1965, it is now one of 17 Le Corbusier sites inscribed on UNESCO's World Heritage List in 2016. Through its richly-charged history, students are invited to reflect on the notions of preserving and enhancing twentieth-century built heritage.
