Presentation
After a tour of the exhibition and thematic elements of the Villa relating to the two artists’ approaches to living and the design of domestic life, the children will be invited to create their own birdhouse, modelled on the one by Matali Crasset: a small house (or a minimalist house), modular and original. This will involve drawing, collage and a range of cut-out tiny-house templates, enabling the children to assemble and imagine a whimsical dwelling inspired by the tour.
Key concepts:
- Observe images and models of houses/birdhouses to identify simple shapes
- Handle cut-out pieces and stick them together to create a little house
- Name the parts of their imaginary house and describe it verbally
