Described as a ‘box in the air’ by Le Corbusier, the Villa Savoye enables pupils to familiarise themselves with the avant-garde architecture of the 1930s and to understand its characteristics: forms, materials, geometry…

Concepts: 

  • Recognising and naming geometric shapes 
  • Express a range of emotions and feelings in response to the artwork 
  • Orientate oneself in space using vocabulary relating to position and movement 
  • Calculating quantities using appropriate units of measurement
